Istituto Politecnico Keplero boasts an old tradition in the Optical field. It was born in the region Molise in 1977 as Scuola Professionale per le Arti Sanitarie (School for Health Arts) by training professionals in the optical field in Italy, Europe and non-European countries.
Its name is after the scientist Johannes Kepler, who first developed the theory of the retinal image. The Institute is situated in a big building not far from Termoli city centre, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the charming Tremiti Islands.
